Gelatinised Maca powder is a 100% pure powder without additives. The Maca roots are dried in the sun for approximately 30 days. These dried roots are then cleaned and cut to small pieces which are then pressed through a twin-screw extruder. This mechanical process leads to the gelatinisation by splitting and shortening the starch chains. Before grinding the small Maca pellets into powder, it is dried at a low temperature.
